Living With Intention

Living With Intention
Living with intention is all about not letting anything or anyone – including yourself – stand in the way of what is best for you and your comprehensive health and happiness. However, before you can claim that you’re truly living with intention, you first must master how to:

Live Freely in the Moment

Not every moment in life can be an adventure. Sometimes you have to wash dishes or do other menial tasks that can cause your mind to drift until you feel as though your life suddenly has less purpose than the imaginary scenario you’ve concocted in your head. This is where your free will and ability to live in the moment especially come in handy. You have total control over your thoughts, feelings, and actions. You can make the choice to take control of your mind and choose to be physically, mentally, and emotionally engaged in whatever it is that you’re doing in the moment. Doing so will not only make all the wonderful moments in your life feel more special and meaningful, but will also help you keep a cool head when things aren’t going your way.

Live Uniquely

No two people on earth are the same. We all look different, talk/act differently, and perceive the world in different ways. It is these differences between all of us that make the world a beautiful place. Every scar, fat cell, or fashion choice is a representation of the incredible diversity that makes every person special in his or her own way – and that’s nothing to ever feel ashamed of. Negativity about your differences will only ever make you feel more isolated and alone, but if you embrace your uniqueness and allow it to become your strength, you will be truly unstoppable.

Live Meaningfully

Purpose is different for everyone. For some, living a meaningful life might refer to being a parent and taking care of children that will one day make a difference in the world. To others, it might refer to being successful and making a lot of money. Whatever the case may be for you, what’s important is that you make an effort to become the best version of yourself that you can. You have to find out what you want from life and not being afraid to reach out and take it. The road to a meaningful life may not always be a smooth one, but it will be the most rewarding path to take.

Live Fearlessly

The definition of fear is “an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by the anticipation or awareness of danger” while expectation is defined as “the act or state of expecting: anticipation,” so it really isn’t hard to see how living with constant unrealistic expectations can, over time, cause a great deal of fear in your life regarding perceivably inevitable loss, pain, and disappointment. To truly live fearlessly, you have to let go of all of you preconceived expectations and realize that life doesn’t always go according to plan. People will always disappoint you and jobs come and go, but one thing’s for sure – allowing yourself to not worry about what will or might happen in the future will allow you to finally live freely.
